You can tailor your cover by adding modules that include cover for day-to-day healthcare services, vision and dental or a range of natural healthcare services.

A comprehensive surgical and healthcare plan that includes cover for cancer care and surgical procedures*, with the advantage of specialist consultations, diagnostic imaging and tests at any time. For those planning a new addition to the family, there is an obstetrics allowance (after 1 year).
You can tailor your cover by adding modules that include cover for day-to-day healthcare services, vision and dental or a range of natural healthcare services.

Southern Cross Cancer Assist
An affordable add-on to your Health insurance to provide you with a lump sum cash payment if you are diagnosed with a qualifying cancer. You can spend the money however you see fit - whether it is for medical treatments or even just to supplement your daily life so you can focus on recovery. Cover options range from $20,000 up to $300,000 and can be used to protect all members of the family.
UltraCare
A premium surgical, healthcare and day-to-day plan that includes cover for cancer care, surgical procedures along with specialist consultations, diagnostic imaging and tests at any time.
Plus, you can choose your own specialist and your qualifying pre-existing conditions will be covered after 3 years. For those planning a new addition to the family, there is an obstetrics allowance (after 1 year).
There is cover available for day-to-day healthcare including GP and nurse, chiropractor, prescriptions and hearing tests. You can choose to upgrade your plan to UltraCare 400 which offers additional vision and dental cover.

Save on your health insurance premiums

Healthy lifestyle reward: you may be entitled to a 10% discount for up to two years from joining if you;
- are an individual member or in a voluntary work scheme, and
- meet a healthy lifestyle criteria.
- Low claims discount: you may be entitled to a 5% or 10% discount for up to 12 months based on your claims over a two year period. If you aren't part of a subsidised work scheme or under 21 years old.
- Direct debit discount: if you pay by direct debit you will receive a 2.5% discount off your premium. Available to members who aren't in an employer scheme.
- Free child discount: if you have more than two children on your policy under 21 years of age you'll only pay for the first two children - any additional children on the policy are free! (Not applicable for HealthEssentials.)
